Implanet earns French patent to protect JAZZ Lock: 5 insights

The French patent office gave Bordeaux, France-based Implanet a patent for its JAZZ Lock implant.

1. JAZZ Lock is intended for degenerative spine disorder treatment.

 

2. The implant’s locking system does not require rod fixation, providing a shorter and simpler surgery.

 

3. Implanet’s Product Development & Manufacturing Director Régis Le Couedic commented most of the company’s future products will feature the unique locking mechanism.

 

4. Implanet has sold more than 300 JAZZ Lock implants since launching the product in the fall of 2016.

 

5. The company plans to release its 2016 financial results on March 28, 2017.
