FDA clears Renovis’ 3-D printed cervical cage: 5 things to know

The FDA cleared Redlands, Calif.-based Renovis Surgical Technologies’ new Tesera SC Porous Titanium Cervical Interbody Fusion System, according to 3ders.org.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Tesera SC is a three-dimensional printed titanium stand-alone cervical cage.

 

2. The implant includes three screws and a locking cover plate.

 

3. The implant is available in two lordotic angels.

 

4. It is designed to cut down on steps for implantation.

 

5. Renovis now has four FDA-approved product groups.
