FDA clears Xtant’s Xspan Laminoplasty Fixation System — 4 highlights

X-spine Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Xtant Medical, received FDA clearance for the Xspan Laminoplasty Fixation System.

Here are four highlights:

 

1. The Xspan Laminoplasty Fixation System is intended for use in the lower cervical and upper thoracic spine.

 

2. Xtant Medical estimates the worldwide market for laminoplasty is at $110 million and growing.

 

3. Xspan will be available to a limited number of surgeons in the second fiscal quarter of 2016, with a larger general release to follow later in 2016.

 

4. Xtant Medical develops, manufactures and markets regenerative medicine products and medical devices for domestic and international markets.
