Colorado hospital installs Mako robot

Pueblo, Colo.-based St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center installed the Stryker Mako System to assist in partial and total knee replacement procedures, The Pueblo Chieftain reports.

Surgeons can use the system to plan out a patient’s surgery with 3D imaging. Surgeons then use the robot to execute the plan during surgery. The Mako system ensures clinicians properly place a patient’s knee implant.
