Medtronic’s Infuse Bone Graft for TLIF will qualify for a Medicare New Technology Add-on Payment effective Oct. 1.
CMS granted the add-on payment for Infuse, according to a Sept. 2 news release from the company.
NTAP status is a Medicare fee for service inpatient reimbursement mechanism for qualifying technologies. It provides additional reimbursement for certain cases when the cost of a new technology exceeds the standard payment amount.
Infuse bone graft received FDA premarket approval for TLIF earlier in 2026 after receiving breakthrough device designation and a prioritized review timeline, the release said.
