Smith+Nephew launched two technologies for total shoulder and ankle replacements, according to an Aug. 31 news release.
The ATLASplan software is a 3D planning and patient-specific instrumentation system for shoulder replacement. It helps surgeons create an operative plan and is designed to facilitate better accuracy during surgery.
The Cadence total ankle flat cut talar dome system expands care for patients with end stage ankle arthritis. It widens the range of patients that surgeons can treat while addressing customers who are looking for an efficient surgical approach.
Both technologies were featured at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons 2021 Annual Meeting in San Diego.
