Surgeons have performed the first cases with Smith+Nephew’s Croi XT platform, according to a June 8 news release.
Cori XT is a handheld robotic platform with a footprint suited for hospital and ASCs. It has a compact footprint and is designed to increase precision while maintaining surgeon control.
Christopher Klifto, MD, performed the first shoulder replacement with the system at Duke Health in Durham, N.C., and Bertrand Kaper, MD, used the robot for a shoulder replacement in an ASC.
Ran Schwarzkopf, MD, performed the first knee replacement using Cori XT at NYU Langone Health in New York City.
