The robot now includes the devicemaker’s RI.Hip Navigation software, which is designed for increased accuracy, according to a Jan. 26 news release. The software will be available for a limited number of hospitals and ASCs in the U.S., and commercial availability is planned later in 2022.

“The addition of RI.Hip Navigation on the Cori System further strengthens Smith+Nephew’s Real Intelligence digital ecosystem and underscores our commitment to advancing clinical outcomes in total hip arthroplasty,” executive vice president and general manager Randy Kilburn said in the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
