Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network launched the orthopedic institute earlier this year to expand its musculoskeletal treatment program. It includes almost 150 providers and partners with independent orthopedic groups to expand access to care in the area.
Michael Pasquale, MD, chair of the department of surgery and physician-in-chief at the Lehigh Valley Institute for Surgical Excellence, said in an April 15 news release the orthopedic institute has added six total joint replacement robotic surgical platforms since its opening, which brings the network’s total number of robots to 19.
The health network’s surgical robots include the da Vinci, Mako, Velys, Monarch, Mazor X Stealth and Iris platforms.
