Three things to know:
1. The facility is incorporating Smith & Nephew’s Navio surgical system into its outpatient surgery center.
2. Navio features hand-held robotics and enables surgeons to create 3D images of a patient’s knee.
3. The 3D imaging allows surgeons to gather patient-specific information, establish spatial boundaries for instruments and increase accuracy when removing damaged surfaces of the knee.
