Globus Medical’s robotic navigation platform combines streamlined MRI preoperative planning with robotic-assisted alignment for cranial stereotactic procedures such as stereoelectroencephalography, deep brain stimulation, biopsies and shunts.

Dr. Rice was able to make a 3.2 millimeter burr hole instead of a 12 millimeter hole to insert a navigated biopsy needle to retrieve specimens from the tumor, Globus Medical said in an April 26 LinkedIn post.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
