The mini robots under development are designed to assist spine surgeons and guide the spine to its natural position, according to a Sept. 21 company news release. The devices aim to improve precision and enhance safety.

Teslake’s Guardinium alloy is designed to kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi on contact. It is similar in strength to stainless steel.

“These flagship technologies are exciting because they are not only applicable in spine surgery, but across a broad range of surgical specialties,” Teslake CEO and cofounder, Stephen Foti, said in the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
