The Legacy Foundation of Kentuckiana provided the grant for the Rosa robot, CHI Saint Joseph Health said in a Nov. 26 news release. Knee replacement demand has grown at an annual rate of 4.2% in the hospital’s region.

Rosa robotics gives surgeons soft tissue feedback and precise bone resections to help with implant alignment and positioning. The robot will also strengthen the hospital’s ability to recruit orthopedic surgeons.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
