Mako uses 3D imaging to help surgeons make patient-specific surgical plans. It utilizes imaging, AccuStop haptic technology and data analytics to assist surgeons. Franklin Davis Jr., MD, helped bring the robot to the hospital and is trained to use it.

“As an organization, we are always looking for the latest technology and techniques to implement,” hospital CEO and President Jim Matney said in an Oct. 21 news release. “We are proud to be the first and only hospital in our region to offer this innovative technology.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
