3. Columbus (Ind.) Specialty Surgery Center performed the region’s first outpatient robotic joint replacement surgery.
4. Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn., added an orthopedic surgical robot to its team, expanding its robotic surgery program.
5. Salem, Va.-based LewisGale Medical Center’s orthopedic surgeon Phillip Patterson, MD, performed the region’s first robotic total knee replacement.
6. Irvine, Calif.-based Hoag Orthopedic Institute added two total joint replacement robots at its ASCs.
7. HCA Florida Mercy Hospital in Miami became one of the first in the state to offer Stryker Mako robotic-arm assisted total hip replacements.
