Zimmer Biomet and Paragon 28 have commercially launched two new foot and ankle trauma products.
The Gorilla Pilon Fusion Plating System is used for primary tibiotalar fusion in patients with pilon fractures. The system includes dual-plating constructs, type II anodized plates and percutaneous guides, according to an Oct. 8 news release from Zimmer Biomet.
The Phantom TTC Trauma Nail has 150, 300 and 350 millimeter lengths and fixation capabilities for more complex trauma cases. The new product builds upon the Phantom TTC Nail platform.
The new system and nail are available for U.S.-based foot and ankle specialists, the release said.
