Here are four things to know:
1. The merger will become official on Jan. 1, 2016 and the merged practice will be called University Orthopedics Center.
2. The leadership team of the new entity is as follows:
• Dave Davies as CEO
• Greg Bailey, MD, as president of the board
• Joshua Port, MD, vice president of the board
3. The new practice will include 26 physicians, including orthopedic surgeons, primary care sports medicine physicians, interventional pain management physicians and podiatrists.
4. It will also include 20 physician assistants.
