Medtech company Stryker has received a tax reduction to expand its operations in Salt Lake City.
The company’s projects will add 862 new high-paying jobs and invest more than $615 million in Utah over the next 20 years, according to a Dec. 11 news release from the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity.
Stryker’s facility in Salt Lake City houses manufacturing, a surgeon training center and a bioskills lab.
The office awarded the company a post-performance tax reduction through the state’s Economic Development Tax Increment Financing program.
