Rockford-based OrthoIllinois has completed its new OrthoIllinois Surgery Center in Elgin, according to a Sept. 18 report from the Daily Herald.

Enovis plans to acquire LimaCorporate in a deal worth more than $700 million.

Keith Meister, MD, performed Tommy John elbow surgery on Riley Greene, an outfielder for the Detroit Tigers, on Sept. 20 in Dallas. 

Matthew Tao, MD, of University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, is the first surgeon in the state to use the BEAR implant for ACL surgery, NBC affiliate WOWT reported Sept. 21.

Sports medicine surgeon Matthew Anderson, MD, has joined the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee, according to a Sept. 21 report by the Williamson Herald.

Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio-based Western Reserve Hospital Physicians, Inc. Orthopedics has added Gordon Bennett, MD, to its team of providers.

Memphis, Tenn.-based OrthoSouth signed a 10-year partnership with the Memphis Grizzlies NBA team, according to a Sept. 20 news release.
