Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Emilie Cheung of Stanford Medicine

Emilie Cheung, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Stanford Medicine in Redwood City, Calif.

Dr. Cheung is an associate orthopedic surgery professor and shoulder and elbow service chief at Stanford (Calif.) University. She has been with the university for 10-plus years.

She is an American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Western Orthopaedic Association member.

Dr. Cheung has authored several textbook chapters on shoulder and elbow reconstruction. Her work has been published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research.

Dr. Cheung earned her medical degree from Valhalla-based New York Medical College. She completed a residency at Philadelphia-based Drexel University and a fellowship at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic.
