Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. John Larkin of Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers

John J. Larkin, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who has treated occupational and sports-related injuries for over 15 years.

He is currently involved in cartilage repair and transplantation for the treatment of arthritis, and is also an investigator for patient-specific knee replacements and customized implants.

 

Dr. Larkin is a past chairman of the Ohio Governor’s Advisory Board for Worker’s Compensation and past president of the Academy of Medicine of Greater Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Orthopaedic Society. He sits on the legislative committees of both the Ohio State Medical Society and the Northern Kentucky Medical Society.

 

Dr. Larkin earned his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed his fellowship at the University of Kentucky and Cincinnati Sports Medicine Midwest Institute of Orthopedics.

 

He was named a Top Doctor by Cincinnati Magazine in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
