Concord (N.H.) Orthopedics has settled a class-action lawsuit involving a cybersecurity incident from November 2024, according to an April 9 report from The HIPAA Journal.
Hackers gained unauthorized access to the practice’s computer network, where the personal and health information of patients was stored. Concord Orthopedics provided notice of the breach in March 2025.
The breach affected more than 72,000 individuals. Information that was accessed includes names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and health insurance information.
The consolidated class-action lawsuit names 12 individuals as class representatives.
Concord Orthopedics agreed to a settlement to resolve all claims asserted in the lawsuit with no admission of wrongdoing, fault or liability, the report said.
