While deployed in Iraq, Dr. Owens served as chief of orthopedics at the 86th Combat Support Hospital. Dr. Owens has also served as the chief of orthopedics and sports medicine at Keller Army Hospital at West Point, N.Y.
Dr. Owens is currently team physician for the U.S. Lacrosse National Men’s Team USA, and team physician for Brown University, where he also holds a faculty position at the Alpert School of Medicine in Providence, R.I.
Dr. Owens received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship with John A. Feagin Jr., MD, in West Point, N.Y.
