Dr. Ranawat also serves as an assistant team physician for the New York Mets and an orthopedic sports medicine consultant for the New York Rangers.
Dr. Ranawat received his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College before completing an internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. After completing a residency at HSS, Dr. Ranawat also completed two fellowships; one in sports medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, and one traveling hip fellowship with Maurice Müeller in Zurich, Switzerland.
Dr. Ranawat has received multiple awards and recognitions, including the T. Campbell Thompson Award for Excellence in Orthopedic Surgery and the Jean C. McDaniel Resident Teaching Award at Hospital for Special Surgery.
