Thomas Hackett, MD, performed knee surgery on Kevin Porter Jr., a guard for the Milwaukee Bucks, in Vail, Colo., on April 7.
Dr. Hackett completed arthroscopic surgery on Mr. Porter’s right knee, according to an April 7 news release from the NBA.
Mr. Porter, who played in 38 games this year, will miss the remainder of the NBA season.
Dr. Hackett is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in complex knee and shoulder surgeries at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo. He also serves as a team physician for the US Snowboard Team and as a medical consultant for the Colorado Rockies.
