Orthopedic surgeon leader to know: Dr. Mark Jones of OrthoVirginia

Mark M. Jones, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon providing care at Richmond-based OrthoVirginia. He is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Medical Society of Virginia and Richmond Medical Society.

Dr. Jones has a professional interest in total hip, knee and ankle replacement, ankle and hind foot reconstruction, revision hip and knee replacement and partial knee replacement. He also has expertise in minimally invasive techniques. His facility affiliations include Boulders Ambulatory Surgery Center, Johnston-Willis Medical Center and Chippenham Hospital, all based in Richmond. He is an orthopedic consultant for University of Richmond and a team physician for Monacan High School in North Chesterfield, Va.

 

Dr. Jones earned his medical degree at Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He completed his residency at Medical College of Virginia Hospitals and his foot and ankle surgery fellowship at University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He has also completed an additional fellowship in arthritis surgery at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
