He serves as the head physician for Team USA, and recently returned from a four-week trip for the 2016 Rio Olympics. As the head physician, Dr. Weinstein worked with Team USA’s Olympic athletes year-round in Colorado Springs, treating 11 athletes who won a total of 13 medals. He holds memberships with multiple professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Weinstein earned his medical degree from the Aurora-based University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he also did his residency. He went on to complete a fellowship in shoulder and elbow reconstruction at the New York Orthopaedic Hospital in New York City.
