Orthopedic surgeon leader to know: Dr. David Bailie of Orthopedic Surgery Center of Arizona

David Bailie, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the Orthopedic Surgery Center of Arizona, a practice based in Phoenix. He specializes in sports medicine, with an emphasis on treating shoulder, elbow and knee disorders.

He has served on the medical staff of numerous professional and university sports teams, including the Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Brewers and Phoenix Mercury. He currently treats professional athletes as an independent consultant, along with serving as a consultant to the U.S. women's gymnastics team. He holds memberships with professional societies like American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and American College of Sports Medicine.

 

Dr. Bailie earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He went on to complete his residency at the Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago and his fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
