gSource donates instruments to orthopedic hospital in Ghana: 5 things to know

Surgical instrument company gSource is making a fifth donation to the Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine in Accra, Ghana.

Here are five things to know:

 

  • FOCOS is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded by Oheneba Boachie-Adjei, MD, to provide orthopedic care in Ghana and other countries.
  • gSource’s donated instruments are valued at $9,780.
  • The instruments are aimed to alleviate musculoskeletal problems such as complex spine and pediatric orthopedic disorders.
  • gSource has donated a total of $35,270 in instruments.
  • FOCOS hopes to complete over 225 surgeries this year.
