Downers Grove, Ill.-based DuPage Medical Group appointed Anthony Romeo, MD, executive vice president to lead the development of a new orthopedic institute.

Al Gross, MD, won the Democratic nomination for U.S. senator for Alaska after receiving 74.9 percent of the vote.

Akron (Ohio) Children’s Hospital appointed Todd Ritzman, MD, chair of the department of orthopedic surgery.

Pittsburgh Penguins team physician Dharmesh Vyas, MD, PhD, performed elbow surgery on Evgeni Malkin and shoulder surgery on Zach Aston-Reese.
