Winchester (Va.) Orthopaedic Associates, a division of the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics, added Bone and Joint Specialists of Winchester (Va.).
The partnership unites two orthopedic practices under the Winchester Orthopaedic Associates name. The combined practice now includes eight orthopedic physicians, according to a Sept. 9 news release from the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics shared with Becker’s.
The practice provides services including sports medicine, joint replacement, hand and upper extremity, trauma, physical therapy and non-operative care.
“Winchester Orthopaedic Associates has cared for families in this community for decades, and welcoming the talented team at Bone and Joint Specialists of Winchester empowers us to build on that legacy,” Tom Wise, MD, a surgeon at Winchester Orthopaedic Associates, said in the release. “Together, we’re enhancing access to the full range of orthopaedic expertise patients need, without ever having to leave Winchester for specialized care.”
The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics is one of the largest independent orthopedic groups, with a network of more than 400 providers, according to its website.
