Another orthopedic surgeon makes run for US Senate seat: 4 observations

Sen. Albert Olszewski, MD, R, announced he is running for the Montana U.S. Senate seat, the Great Falls Tribune reports.

Here are four observations.

1. This isn’t Dr. Olszewski’s first time running for a senate seat. Currently he serves as Montana State Senator for District 6, a role he has held since 2016.

2. Dr. Olszewski also served as a Montana State House Representative for District 11 between 2014 and 2016.

3. After earning his medical degree from Seattle-based University of Washington Medical School, Dr. Olszewski completed his resident at the Wilford Hall at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. He underwent fellowship training at Houston-based University of Texas Health Science Center.

4. Along with his race for senator, Dr. Olszewski serves as an independent orthopedic surgeon.
