Texas hospital unveils new neurosurgery department — 4 insights

Shenandoah, Texas-based Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center opened a new neurosurgery floor, reports Chron.

Four insights:

1. The 30,000-square-foot space features 12 ICU beds and 24 -medical-surgical beds.

2. The new floor cost $16 million and took approximately nine months to complete.

3. Geoffrey Zubay, MD, is the neuroscience director and head of the neurosurgery department.

4. The facility had 4,000 cases with 25 providers relating to various disciplines within neurosurgery. The expansion will encourage further collaboration.
