Here are six key notes on spine and orthopedic device companies:

Life Spine received FDA 510(k) clearance for its new Prolift Lateral Expandable Spacer System.

Emerging devicemaker New View Surgical, which develops technology for minimally invasive surgery, raised $2.5 million to further develop its VisionPort System.

The U.S. Patents Office granted Medicrea several patents for its UNID Adaptive Spine Intelligence proprietary technology platform.

Stryker will invest more than $224 million (€200 million) into three of its facilities in Cork, Ireland.

SpineGuard completed a training program for the PediGuard screw placement device line at its first training center in China.

Acumed acquired Radicle Orthopaedics' RASL Repair System, which treats the scapholunate ligament of the wrist.
