Four things to know:

1. NueHealth is an ambulatory surgical management company. MUVE Health develops and operates total joint and spine centers.

2. The partnership is not a merger. The joint venture will focus on expanding and integrating the companies’ presence beyond Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. The companies are evaluating several opportunities with orthopedic practices and health systems in Florida, Texas and several Midwestern states.

3. The joint venture will add five to seven MUVE Health total joint/spine centers over the next two years in Philadelphia as well as in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York tri-state area.

4. “The new joint venture will allow for the acceleration of ValueHealth’s mission of transforming ambulatory surgical care. This national partnership will give us the flexibility and capacity to invest more meaningfully in transforming our current NueHealth orthopedic facilities, develop more MUVE Health hyper-specialty centers in target markets and deliver on the promise of value-based care for patients, payors and employers,” said John Palumbo, Executive Chairman of ValueHealth, the parent company of NueHealth and MUVE Health.
