Good Shepherd Orthopedics, part of Hermiston, Ore.-based Good Shepherd Health Care System, is relocating to a new facility in Hermiston, according to a Feb. 5 report from NBC affiliate Non Stop Local. 

Penn State Health and Lancaster Orthopedic Group, both in Pennsylvania, inked an affiliation agreement that took effect Jan. 31.

Orthopedic spine surgeon Antonio Webb, MD, has opened a spinal clinic in Schertz, Texas, according to a Feb. 3 report from News 4 San Antonio.

Michael Boblitz began his role as CEO of Athens (Ga.) Orthopedic Clinic on Feb. 3, according to a news release from the practice.

Payer negotiations have often been tense with physicians and practice leaders. But some orthopedic leaders have explored ways to work with payers from a mutually beneficial standpoint.

Portland, Maine-based Spectrum Orthopaedics rebranded to Orthopaedic Associates of Maine and joined management services organization Growth Orthopedics, according to a Feb. 3 news release. 

Geisinger has finished a $12 million expansion project at its facility in Port Matilda, Pa., according to a Jan. 29 report from the Centre Daily Times.

Since November, health systems have absorbed spine and orthopedic practices in their networks.
