Mitigating Patient No-Shows: 4 Tips

Here are the four strategies:

 

1. Always call your patients the afternoon or night before their appointments to remind them about the appointment.
2. Encourage your clients to cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance but do not threaten them with no-show fees.
3. Create a policy for patients and customers arriving late to their appointments, but avoid posting signs in the waiting room or allowing your staff to tell patients that they will not be seen if they are late.
4. Watch out for repeat offenders and have a policy or a plan in place for people who are repeatedly not showing up.
