Colorado medical center to launch orthopedic services: 3 notes

Lamar, Colo.-based Prowers Medical Center will welcome an orthopedic surgeon in February, according to The Prowers Journal.

Three notes:

1. The orthopedic surgeon will perform surgery one day a week, with the opportunity for additional scheduling as demand and time permit.

2. The center is also installing a new MRI machine, which will offer 12 times the resolution of the hospital’s current model, according to Prowers Medical Center CEO Craig Loveless.

3. The medical center currently provides orthopedic surgery services, including knee arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release and trigger finger release, performed by visiting specialists.
