Here are four insights:
1. Construction on the $47 million facility began in August. Campbell Clinic expects the new facility to open in October 2019.
2. The new facility features an ambulatory surgery center with eight operating rooms and two procedure rooms as well as clinic space.
3. Campbell Clinic originally bought the land to expand in the 90s. The group said the expansion project is part of a five-year strategic plan that is focused on growth in the Memphis metro area.
4. The expansion will enable Campbell Clinic to retain 280 existing jobs and hire an additional 185 employees over a three-year ramp-up period.
