1. Andrew Yun, MD, medical director of joint replacement services at Saint John’s Health Center, used robotic technology to perform joint replacement surgery on Edythe Broad.
2. Dr. Yun uses a combination of a Mako robotic-assisted surgery arm and personal computer modeling to perform knee and hip replacements tailored to the individual patient’s anatomy.
3. Providence Saint John’s currently has three Mako robots.
