2. The grant will offer $800,000 over a three-year timeframe. The amount it the largest ever provided by an OREF grant.
3. He will use the grant for the study, “SVFC Therapy to Improve Rotator Cuff Tears: A Phase II Clinical Trial.”
4. The study will analyze whether autologous stem cell therapy will boost musculoskeletal tissue regeneration for patients with chronic rotator cuff tears.
5. Dr. Mendias serves as an associate scientist in HSS’ orthopedic soft tissue research program.
