EmCyte adipose lipoplasty harvesting system gains FDA clearance for neurosurgery, orthopedics

The FDA cleared EmCyte’s Progenikine Concentrating System for adipose lipoplasty for procedures in several specialties including neurosurgery and orthopedics.

Three things to know:

1. Progenikine is intended for extraction and centrifugal preparation of adipose concentrate at the point of care.

2. The system can completely remove oil contaminants and residue to obtain a concentrated adipose sample.

3. EmCyte is headquartered in Fort Myers, Fla., and develops systems for autologous regenerative biologics.
