The highest-paid orthopedic surgeon in Chicago earns $945,100, according to Medscape's salary reporter tool, which is much higher than the mean annual wage of $378,250 orthopedic surgeons make according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Healthgrades recently released its rankings for the best hospitals in the U.S. for spine surgery, including 11 in California. 

Here are three medtech companies that have added to their C-suites that Becker's has reported on since April 15:
