Spine, orthopedic practice activity ramps up in the Midwest: 6 moves

Here are six spine and orthopedic practice openings, closures, planned openings and relocations happening in the Midwest that Becker’s has reported on since Feb. 21:

1. Bettendorf, Iowa-based ORA Orthopedics plans to build a $50 million facility in Bettendorf.

2. The two Wisconsin hospitals that Altoona, Wis.-based Chippewa Valley Orthopedics & Sports Medicine fought to keep open have closed.

3. Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy and Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Health are planning an orthopedic clinic and ASC near West Lafayette, Ind.

4. Kimball, Neb.-based Highpoint Spine and Joint Center permanently closed its Sidney, Neb., location and moved all of its services to its Kimball location.

5. Columbus-based Southern Indiana Orthopedics relocated its Greensburg, Ind., practice.

6. Orthopedic, neurosurgery and spine clinic MD West One completed construction on a 38,000-square-foot medical office building in Omaha, Neb.
