HSS taps chief people officer

Hospital for Special Surgery named Pam Teufel chief people officer, effective Sept. 8.

Ms. Teufel brings three decades of healthcare human resources experience to the New York City-based organization, according to an Aug. 21 press release. 

Ms. Teufel comes to HSS from Main Line Health, where she has served as chief human resources officer since 2021. She previously held the same role at St. Peter’s Healthcare System in New Brunswick, N.J., and Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University and Hospitals.

HSS is an academic medical center focused on musculoskeletal health. Its research institute comprises 20 laboratories and 300 staff members.
