Rebecca Whitney, CEO of Highridge Medical, is stepping down to pursue a new CEO opportunity outside the spine industry, she said in a June 11 LinkedIn post.

Ms. Whitney has led Highridge since April 2024. Before that she was global spine president of ZimVie, which Highridge spun off from. She also worked with Zimmer Biomet before it spun off ZimVie for nearly seven years.

Under her leadership Highridge Medical forged several industry partnerships and reintroduced the Activ-L disc in the U.S.

“Leading Highridge Medical has been one of the greatest privileges of my career,” she wrote in a post. “I am incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished together and deeply grateful for the talented team members who have dedicated themselves every day to improving patient care. Their resilience, innovation, and passion have shaped me as a leader.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
