During the first quarter of 2026, multiple orthopedic groups have banded with hospitals and health systems or deepened existing partnerships, part of a larger trend among some groups looking for options to grow.

1. Salisbury, Md.-based TidalHealth will integrate Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates into its system through a new entity, TidalHealth Peninsula Orthopaedic Institute, according to a January announcement.
2. Wooster (Ohio) Community Hospital is integrating Wooster (Ohio) Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center into its multispecialty physician group.
3. Gastonia, N.C.-based Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center announced plans to join CaroMont Health starting June 1. As part of the transition, a new practice, CaroMont Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center, will be established within the CaroMont Medical Group network. All physicians at Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center will become employed providers of CaroMont Health.
4. Evansville, Ind.-based Tri-State Orthopaedics and Washington, Ind.-based Daviess Community Hospital have partnered to offer pain management and surgical podiatry services. Starting Feb. 17, Ryan Wetzel, MD, Jason Franklin, DO, and Braxton Facer, DPM, physicians from Tri-State Orthopaedics, will provide care to patients at the hospital’s CORE Center.
5. Vero Beach, Fla.-based Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital has acquired Orthopaedic Center of Vero Beach, expanding access to orthopedic, spine and physical therapy services. Physicians and staff from the Orthopaedic Center of Vero Beach will continue seeing patients at the practice’s existing Vero Beach office throughout the transition. Patients will gain access to shared EHRs, streamlined referrals and the system’s five-hospital Florida network.
6. Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth and Colorado Springs (Colo.) Orthopaedic Group have expanded their existing partnership.
7. Taos, N.M.-based Holy Cross Medical Center assumed management of Taos Orthopedic Institute starting March 1.
