WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital has surpassed 2,000 robotic joint replacements, according to a March 12 report from NBC affiliate WVVA.
Surgeons at the hospital’s orthopedic center have completed the replacements using Stryker’s Mako robotic system. WVU Medicine was the first system in the state to acquire two Mako robots.
PCH performed 707 robot-assisted surgeries in 2024. The robotic system offers patients faster recovery times, less blood loss and less pain.
