3 robotics developments in Q1

Here are three key updates from orthopedic robotics companies in the first quarter of 2024.

1. Think Surgical and Waldemar Link GmbH & Co. are partnering to bolster the TMini orthopedic robotic system. Under the partnership, Think will add the LinkSymphoKnee system to the database for the TMini system.

2. Think Surgical is also collaborating with b-One Ortho to add its implants to the TMini total knee replacement robot. Under the partnership, b-One Ortho’s devices, including its Mobio total knee system, will be available to use with Think Surgical’s TMini robot.

3. Zimmer Biomet earned FDA clearance for the Rosa Shoulder robot. Rosa Shoulder will be the world’s first robotic system for shoulder replacement, and it is Zimmer Biomet’s fourth application for Rosa robotics. The robot will be commercially available in the U.S. in the second half of 2024.
