The Excelsius Ecosystem combines the ExcelsiusGPS robot with the new Excelsius3D imaging system, according to a June 27 news release. Images of the patient’s anatomy are imported to the technology, which is used to help the physician create a surgical plan.

“This technology takes us to the next era of spine surgery,” Kevin Yao, MD, chief of neurosurgery at Englewood Health, said in the release. “It facilitates more precise and more minimally invasive spine surgery, which will translate into shorter patient recoveries and better outcomes.”

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
